The Unfashionable Male

I should start this out by saying I have never been a trend setter. Clinton and Stacy do not use me as a yard stick of "What to wear". I am just making an obvious observation. There seems to be an outfit that seems universal in IT and sales. White athletic shoes, with socks pulled up, polos, cargo shorts or khakis, you know the biz-cas fare that's to be expected. But it is how they all wear the shirt tucked up to their nips and two or three electronic devices hanging from their braided leather belts that looks so goofy. It is as if they include these instructions when you buy a polo at costco:


Polos are t-shirts with collars. No tuck required. Please do not muffin top your budda belly and love handles. You look like a dairy queen soft-serve.

Why do they even sell these? Are there cellphone quick-draw duels that require Billy the Kid like reflexes?! Pockets, dammit, use them! My wife used to work at a cellular phone call center, and these things were the biggest reason for people needing replacement phones. There are enough things to say about the rudeness of cell phones and cell phone accessories to fill a thousand blogs, I am just saying stop wearing them on your belt like some white collar superhero, you look like a ween.

Gunna git wicked!

It is a well recognised fact that 82.5% of all statistics posted on blogs are made up on the spot. Also widely known is that 95% of people who have computers at work will from time to time look for little doo-dads and wigimithingers that waste a little bit of time. And that is where Wicked small games comes in. they have more than a few minutes to waste at work to rate and sort these flash based distractions. My beef, of course, is the use of the adjective 'wicked' in the name of the site. Wicked just isn't used any more. It is in the same overused descriptive word graveyard as "awesome" "rad" "sweet" "cool" "hyper-colored" , basically any word used in a Saturday morning commercial that ended with "your parents could help you put it together". Wicked was meant to describe things EEEVIL, of the DEVVVIL. You, know like BLACK DEATH!

I am seriously tempted to get a back tattoo of this picture!

Rise From the grave!

Has it realy been a year since this was up and running?! Yowsers. Well, I will see what I can do about that! Prepare yourselves for some new random crap such as pictures, videos and ramblings that are very nice indeed. Or at least slightly nice. Well... unless they are mean spirited, then the "nice" would relate to the quality of the picture, rant, or video, and not the nature of the video, picture or ramble. And vice versa as well, there may be some items that are very nice, like a picture of a kitten huging a bunny with a quote like: "I wu-wu-wuv you." which is a nice sentiment, but it not be of your exact "very nice" standard of quality. And that is this blog only that I am making these statemnts for, of corse. Shiny Chrome Monkeys, the riff-raff may post some not very nice stuff indeed (both in nature and quality), and that is why they get a PG13 rating.
